Snow Legs

Yeah.. looks like walks are going to be tough for a while. The final snow total was seventeen inches.

There are mountains of snow seemingly everywhere. Our front lawn has been turned into a mountain range - there's just no where else to put it all.

The roads were SO bad last night that even the snow plows (ie. NYC garbage trucks with a big shovel on the front) couldn't get by without issue. My dad's car's door now has a huge dent in it; thankfully, the car was parked, so no one was hurt. Yep.. we were outside last night at 2 AM waiting for the police to come to fill out a report. The cop who came was the definition of NASTY, too.

There is almost no way to get across the street to go romp in the field, as the snow banks are about two feet high, three feet wide, and absolutely filthy. We managed to fumble over it, as Marge has been cooped up for what seems like an eternity. But, the snow was both high and rough on the top (I guess it iced over) so it was really hard for her to walk.

Needless to say, we turned for home after a few minutes of Marge trying to swim her way through the snow. I guess we'll have to entertain ourselves mostly indoors for the next few days.

You did get a bunch of snow! I hope you like it cause it will be around furever. I hate when it gets all dirty and crusty.

Bright side I suppose is all that snow will keep things quiet for a while? Sorry to hear that it's causing difficulties for you.

If you don't like it, feel free to send the next 17 inches express up here to Alaska! I would LOVE some of that snow. We got another 6 inches about a week ago and that's it.

Wow - that's a lot of snow!! We're sick of snow here. It's making walking and playing just too hard! 37 days until Spring!

Wow! That's a lot of snow. I love a few hours north of you, and we have NO snow on the ground. Go figure. What a weird winter.

Marge you look like you are in heaven in that stuff.
Hey we got snow too. It is actually still snowing. We probably have like 4 or 5 inches already... We are really enjoying it too..

I am sorry to say this, Sam, but here goes anyway.

Better you than me!

Seriously, I remember only too well. But I lived in a rural area and had snowmobiles to pack trails. I hated the things once they made my trails for me!

It won't last long! Temperatures are rising as i type, right?

Hey Marge, your life is filled with one "TRIAL" after another. I'll bet you like the snow much better than your mom does. Soooo sorry about your grandpa's car door.

We're pretty much staying inside for a while, too! I'd rather face cabin fever than what's out there!

That's more snow than we've seen in our ENTIRE lives!! We can't see the video for some reason, though.

As someone who lives where it routinely snows 3-4 ft, I do have one suggestion. If you have snow shoes, Marge can walk behind you (it'll be a ton of work for you but she'll get out). Just a thought...

Check out: http://romp-roll-rockies.blogspot.com/2009/04/digging-out.html

for our dogs negotiating 4' of snow!

But, I bet that the snow melts fast there so perhaps you and Marge can just wait it out...

I love the Marge shadows in your video!

D'oh! We're so jealous! We want that kind of snow!

Looks like fun! Strap on some snow shoes and GO! Lol!

I still want to take Kona to experience snow, but I'm not sure how either one of us would do! Marge still looks like she enjoyed herself, but I'll wish for warmer weather for you =)

Oh, how I would love to come bound through the snow with you! We have none - can you believe that? Sigh.
Love,
Ammy
