World of White

New York City plunged into whiteness yet again with the second blizzard in two weeks. Totals from early this afternoon were around fifteen inches, but I think it was closer to a foot and a half.

Unlike the last blizzard, this snow was extremely light and fluffy. So, despite the fact that it was over Marge's head in some spots where drifts were high, she fully enjoyed herself running around in it and moved effortlessly through it.

I am absolutely exhausted - I think I shoveled about half a dozen times today - so rather than write, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

that makes a couple of dogs I know that are enjoying getting whomped by sonow, on the eastern seaboard. Marge looks like she is having a blast!

I see from the last photo that you are not bothered by such things as gravity. No wonder you like the snow. You can just fly over it. Bet mom is kind of tired of it by now.

Wow, you guys got a lot of snow! You're lucky it was fluffy, considering you were shoveling. Ours was really wet & heavy. Not fun.

Marge looks like she had a blast in it! How fun for her.

Marge, how did you learn to fly? Do you have a cape? I think you should wear it next time. People would mistake you for a superhero! We love your joie de vivre!

BRUTUS February 27, 2010 at 9:50 AM

We got hit pretty hard here too. Most snow I can remember, I think about a foot and a half! I wish Brutus would enjoy playing in it like Marge does!! It's just too deep for him, though. He's currently doing all his business on my deck (that's gonna be a mess when things thaw) as to spend as little time out there as possible!!

You all sure have gotten hammered with snow this year! Colorado hasn't had much at all this year, it's just been really cold. Very unusual winter for everyone! Marge is so cute bouncing around in the snow, such a happy girl :)

Bijou February 27, 2010 at 10:41 AM

Hi Marge & Sam,

We were thinking of you two when we watched the news last night. It is good that at least one of you is having fun. BOL

That is just THE best picture, Marg! You look so happy out there loping around in the white stuff. All the snow zoomies have been fun this year, but we're ready for spring!

Have a pawsome weekend!

I can not believe all that snow, and to see Marge just bounding through it, that was FUN. Stay safe and warm.

Deborah February 27, 2010 at 4:09 PM

You sure did get a lot of snow. Not us, we got rain... Your video was good!

Martha February 27, 2010 at 4:25 PM

Just loved the video - the music was great too and just captured the bounciness of Marge.
We reckon that black dogs look great against the snow. We tend to look a bit dirty!
We are fed up with the snow over here in Scotland!

I was thinking of you guys out east when I heard about the storms headed your way. I'm glad everyone is safe, if not ready for some warmer weather.

Great video of Marge! You captured some fun action shots. It's good to see her having such a good time.

Oh my goodness, Marge! Mom and I loved watching your video. It made us both smile real big to see you look so bouncy and happy in the snow. Sorry your mom had to shovel so much. That's one reason it's great to be a dog. We get to play. They have to work.

Poor humans.

Sam,

Welcome to my world!! Your snow history sounds like our everyday winter and spring weather pattern.

It does make a huge difference when it's light and fluffy powder... and it looks like Marge had fun.

I saw a dog who looked just like Marge the other day. I wanted to stop my car and meet her... but I didn't...

Now comes the big melt. That's the difference for us. We don't get any big melts until late March or April. Snow just stays and piles higher and higher.

Lorenza February 28, 2010 at 12:27 PM

Marge!
Sure you enjoyed all that snow!
I loved to watch you running around!
Have a great sunday!
