On The Brink of Fall
Marge, my sister, Louie and I took a four-mile hike this Sunday, in the glorious 60-and-sunny weather. We hiked a closed-circuit trail in the middle of the woods - probably the quietest place in my entire city. It was our first time on this trail, and all of us absolutely enjoyed it.
The woods were still mostly green, but little patches of color could be found along the trail. It was more prominent in some locations than in others.
Marge gave a doofy look towards the camera, with her adorable and slightly crooked bottom teeth peeking out of her mouth.
Some shots of our trail.
I have other photos from the woods, but am unable to get them in to this blog post. Once again, I am having Verizon internet issues. Numerous phone calls, two visits by a serviceman, and endless frustration have still not solved this ongoing problem. My dad refuses to switch - mostly because he's stubborn, partially because of the cost - which makes this even more frustrating for me, especially since my use of the internet is not only recreational (I need to use it for school and such). Bear with me, and hope that my connection is useable sooner rather than later.

Great pics!
Thanks for sharing them!
Good luck with the internet issues - I know how annoying it is - we have 'comatosecast' to deal with here -
Happy Hiking!
Marge you are a cutie. Mom tells me I need braces. Hope your hike was fun

Great pics! Can't wait to see the rest when you get the internet fixed. Pat has his cell phone through Verizon, and the cell service sounds just as reliable as your internet.
We've been doing forest hikes too, while the weather's still nice. I love it, and the dogs love it even more.
sorry about the internet troubles, that has got to be frustrating...-(. I love that second picture of Marge, that is the CUTEST!
Marge must be absolutely loving it out there in the woods...she is so adorable.
Sorry about the net issues. Very very irritating indeed.
maybe u would like to try 'windows live writer'. it is available for free download on the net. it lets u prepare your entire post including pictures and videos without a internet connection. and when u are done, u can just hit the publish botton and sitback.
we are liking it very much. saves us from all the irritating blogger problems that keeps cropping up from time to time.
Have a great day,
wags, Buddy n Ginger
It's been awesomely wonderful hiking weather! Glad you took a break from the books and enjoyed some!
I just got verizon mobile broadband....talk about slooooooooooooow!!! Yeah, and forget about watching any videos... Still, it's better than nothing
Hi there Marge... that is a wonderful woods walk you took there. It must have been very much fun for you. I think that one picture shows just how happy you were to be walking in nature.
I LOVE that crazy look from Marge. What a great photo.
On the brink of fall there and snow here. It's a goofy world.
I understand the internet issues. We were down to 2 kB/s last night... It took all afternoon to upload a few photos to blogger. In our case, there's nothing to be done because there's only one option in our rural setting. We share an antenna with neighbors. If they decide to watch TV on the internet, everyone else has to give up on trying to use it. Sorry - didn't mean to rant but I totally understand the frustration.
I was scared, at first I thought someone had fallen! But then realized you were talking about the tree colors!! Duh!
Looks like a great walk/hike!
What a fun walk!
2 KB/s?! Sheesh. Our lowest so far is 9 KB/s. I think we're rapidly approaching that as we speak.
It's just the strangest thing.. the connection deteriorates in a cycle, until it is unusable, and I have NO idea how or why it comes back to normal. If the Verizon technical support people were actually competent, maybe I'd have a better idea of how to fix this.
It goes without saying that I'll get to your blogs as soon as my connection will let me open them!
I just love the doofy look :)

glad you had a nice walk on such a lovely weekend

So pretty! I love the contrast of Marge's first dignified photo next to her goofy grin. That's a well balanced dog =)
Your 8 mile hike sounds so fun and like a great cool-season goal! I certainly didn't start out running far...just gets into your blood after awhile.
Great pics, as always! You make me want to do a lot more hiking with my two. Trekking through the woods on a SAR mission doesn't count since it's not recreational. I want to take a nice relaxing stroll with them! You make it look so nice.
Looks like you all had a terrific hike. The leaves are just now starting to turn here.
Happy Weekend!

Looks like fun. I'm glad you could get out before the weather changes. We had snow here Monday, but today is awesome. I hope to get out and walk Miss Lilly soon.
What a nice time for a hike. I especially love that second photo of Marge :)
Wonderful that you all got out to the woods again :)
Marge's doofy face photo is a real smile maker :)
Waggin at ya,
Roo
