The Big Snow Begins

The snow began this afternoon and promises to continue through out the night. At the first sign of snowfall, we headed outside. The ground was still clear, and only flecks of white began to dot Marge's ears and face.

She played for a few minutes with her tennis ball (chased it, but wouldn't pick it up -- weird) and humored me by posing for pictures.

A few minutes ago, we headed back out for a potty break. It's starting to add up out there.

She started running around and play bowing. She gets really playful in the snow. I'm the only person in my house who's happy to see it add up for that reason.

Here she is before going inside. Understandably, she doesn't like it getting in her face. Hopefully, the wind will die down and we can go out and have some fun tomorrow.

Hope you all stay safe and warm - this is a big one in many places!

have fun playing in the snow and remember to take pics. We got cold temps and wind, but no snow.

Looks like fun!

We're supposed to get a couple inches tonight. I think the major white stuff is south of us.

The news reports have been reporting predictions of a crazy amount of snow in some places, unbelievable. Stay safe and enjoy Marge's snow zoomies. :-)

Totally enjoy your snow. We have been for the past two days and it is pretty deep (not a record, but a really good one).

Hi Marge,

We saw on the news that the eastern part of the country was going to get lots of snow. We think you are crazy but are glad you are enjoying it. BOL

I am very much glad that you like the snow Marge. I'll ask mom if I can put some of MINE in a box and send it to YOU. There are 4 inches on the ground here. That comes clear up to my sides. Hope you don't get enough for it to come up to Y O U R side. That would be a LOT.

Have fun with Marge in the snow! I think that there's nothing that brings out the puppy in a dog more than snow!

It was really cool meeting the lab/pit bull mix today. His head and ears looked so much like Marge's. He seemed really well adjusted and so sweet.

With the east coast getting buried, I will be happy to be stuck in Dirtville, for awhile, anyways.

Thanks for the offer on the dogs/trainers of that video. I had read about them, previously.

I hope you and Marge have fun in the snow! It came down fast and furious down here! Be careful and stay off the roads, though!

WOW, throw some snowballs for us!!!!! It looks so pretty. It is so unbelievable with the magic of the internet and being able to see what is going on in other parts of the coutry. It was hot here today, no sweaters and I got sunburnt, then I come home and look at snow pictures and Marges beautiful face enjoying the storm. Hope you enjoy the storm and stay safe and warm, it looks like some REAL Christmas weather, I need some sent here so it really feels like Christmas week here!

Any chance you can send that storm a bit west? Jess is really dying for some fresh snow up here.

Enjoy your snow and stay safe!

Yuh, you labradogs do love the extreme weather conditions, don't you. I don't think PeeWee even knows he is soaking wet when he comes inside.

Oh I hear (and am seeing in today's posts) how MUCH snow you got (and maybe are still getting!) How I miss snow in winter (this is Mom), but Samantha loves it whenever we are able to get to Tahoe! Marge looks blissed out! Enjoy it!
Hugs xo

I love it when the snow gets deep enough that they have to dolphin-dive around in it. We just got a dusting here, still grass blades peeking through. Looks like you'll have a white christmas for sure - lucky!!

We have snow too - isn't it great in time for xmas!
As you know we are finishing up for the year but just wanted to stop by and wish you all a great Xmas!
We have enjoyed following your story over the year, the good times and the more challenging!
We are always inspired by you both!
We look forward to catching up with you again in 2010.
Best wishes,
Martha, Bailey & Family xxxx
